Here’s a tip for those interviewing. If you don’t get the job, it doesn’t mean folks on the interview loop weren’t impressed with you. Keep in touch with those you had a great connection with.

I’ve developed some amazing relationships with people on interview panels throughout my career. Perhaps it wasn’t the right time to hire you or the company just wasn’t ready for you. They might recommend you for other roles or you may be the first person they’ll call as soon as they’re able to hire in a new organization.

Relationships are built over time and extend well beyond the short-term interview loop.
